Concept Note
Queer, as we all know, refers to a domain of plurality which encompasses all non-heteronormative sexualities (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender) and representation of such identities in art (painting or sculpture), literature and film in Indian context is what we mean by the title “Queer Sexualities in Indian Culture”. Hence, all submission must relate to queer sexualities and representation of such identities in Indian culture. The study may be either on any single community of such people (gay or lesbian or bisexual or transgender) or on all communities of such people as a whole but it must strictly be limited within Indian culture(Indian art or literature or film).
